What Is A WaterBrick?
WaterBrick is a revolutionary, one of a kind industrial container made
from High Density Polyethylene resins (HDPE), that is recyclable and
FDA approved. Designed for a myriad of uses, WaterBrick delivers, not
only 12.9 liters (3.4 gallons) of water for daily use, but it also provides a
bulk-water storage solution for the humanitarian relief agencies. Unlike
conventional plastic containers, WaterBrick can be delivered anywhere
worldwide without the necessity for ground transportation infrastructure
or deepwater ports for delivery. The patented design was created to meet
the challenges posed by catastrophic events anywhere worldwide by palletizing,
shrink wrapping, and air-dropping the WaterBricks directly to people in need.
Other comparable containers are either too expensive, such as steel containers,
or do not have the structural integrity to withstand the kinetic energy released
when the water hits the ground.
An Affordable Building Block For Undeveloped Countries
As important as is WaterBrick's ability to provide life-giving water to those in need, the ability to also provide affordable
sustainable housing is nothing short of revolutionary. Aid to third world countries has often been in the form of water, food,
and medicines that must cointinually be provided but do not in and of themselves create sustainability. WaterBrick provides a
sustainable solution through its unique, patented design. It can be refilled with on-site sand or dirt, and be used in place of
modern concrete blocks which are prohibitively expensive to both purchase and transport into the world's remote regions.
- More than 5 million people, most of them children, die every year from waterborne illnesses caused by drinking unsafe water.
- Over 1 billion people must walk 3 hours or more each day to obtain safe drinking water.
- By 2020, nearly 50 countries will have severe water shortages.
- By 2030 many cities that have existed for centuries will dry up and disappear due to lack of sustainable drinking water.

Global Applications: Humanitarian - Civilian - Military Markets
- WaterBrick is a unique container that can be used for water, food, medical or other emergency needs that can be palletized,
then shipped and/or air-dropped anywhere worldwide quickly and economically. It's currently being considered as the container
of choice for distribution of products to some African regions replacing non-recyclable bags and disposable containers.
- WaterBrick is also a self-contained building block used to construct permanent housing and other facilities in third world nations at far less
cost than conventional building methods. WaterBrick requires no foundation or mortar; just add dirt and stack like conventional building blocks.
- WaterBrick is also ideal for bulk water storage for hurricanes, storm preparedness, camping, boating, and also fits the design model for
sale and distribution in such stores as Home Depot or Lowes.
- WaterBrick can be used as an interlockable barrier for temporary military command posts or forward military positions, bunkers or parapet walls. To this end,
WaterBrick can be adapted with many unique attributes to meet special mission requirements of the Department of Defense, GSA, and other federal agencies.
Water. The Oil of the 21st Century
Looking at a photograph from space of the earth we are awed at our blue planet. In fact, it is the predominance of blue that gives the illusion that we are awash in water
for our consumption. The level of frustration in search of accessible fresh water, coupled with the rising tide of waterborne diseases, becomes painfully clear.
At New Delhi's Center for Policy Research, B. G. Verghese, a political analyst, states that, "The next century is going to see a water crisis, and that crisis will be much more difficult to cope with and much more complex than the [other] energy crisis[es] have ever been." That new century is upon us NOW. There is a rapidly growing number of statistics that reflect a lack of ability to cope with the water crisis by many nations around the world. Here are just a few selected ones:

- The United Nations states that, "Access to water may be the single cause of conflict and war in Africa in the next 25 years."
- 50% of India's morbidity is because of water.
- 80% of China's rivers are so degraded that they no longer support fish.
- Every 8 seconds a child dies from a preventable waterborne disease
- 1.4 billion people worldwide live without safe water to drink.
- 2.6 billion people worldwide live without sufficient sanitation.
